Frequently asked questions

Why should I filter my tap water?

Australia's tap water is treated and regulated to meet strict safety standards. However, the journey from the treatment plant to your tap can involve kilometres of pipes and intrastructure, where water may come into contact with rust, sediments, or materials from plumbing that can influence its taste and smell.

Many people choose to filter their tap water to reduce chlorine taste and odour, improve freshness, and enjoy better-tasting water straight from the tap.

How does Velpure™ work?

Velpure uses coconut shell activated carbon block filtration to help reduce chlorine, odors, sediment, rust, and other unwanted impurities for a clean, better-tasting tasting tap water.

Do I still need to replace the filter cartridge?

Yes. The filter cartridge needs replacement every 3 months (depending on your water quality and household usage) to maintain performance. Effectiveness decreases over time as it captures impurities.

Is Velpure easy to install and does it fit all taps?

It fits 95% of Australian standard taps and is designed for quick and simple installation directly onto your tap in just few minutes with no tools required.
Multiple adapters are included for increased compatibility.

Can Velpure™ make contaminated or unsafe water completely safe?

Velpure™ improves tap water by reducing common impurities and improving taste. If your water source is unsafe, you should treat it before using our filter. Velpure tap filter is designed to work only with treated mains water (town water supply) and is not intended for untreated or non-mains water sources.

Can I switch between filtered and regular tap water?

Yes, Velpure allows you to easily switch between filtered water and regular tap water whenever needed.

Does Velpure remove fluoride?

Velpure is designed to enhance everyday tap water by reducing common impurities that affect taste and clarity. It does not target fluoride, which is often naturally present or added to municipal water supplies.

Can you ship Australia-wide?

Yes! And we offer free shipping on all orders $99.95 and over.

Do you offer returns?

Yes, we offer a 30-day returns. To be eligible for a return, the product must be returned in its original packaging and in its original condition. Please contact our team at hello@velpure.com.au for return assistance.
